Meet With a Career Consultant Over Break (and Other Recourses Available)

Winter break is a great time to focus on your future and career. Luckily, there are still many resources available to you — including talking with a career consultant.

The Fleishman Center for Career and Professional Development offers services and resources that students can take advantage of all winter long – even if they are not in Binghamton!

Virtual, Phone or In-Person Appointments

Offered throughout winter based on consultant availability.

Students of any major or class year can set up individual 30-minute appointments with a Fleishman Center career consultant to discuss career-related topics, such as exploring career options, job and internship application materials, interview prep and more!

Virtual and phone appointments allow students not staying in the Binghamton area the opportunity to discuss any career-related topics with our staff throughout winter break. Students staying in the Binghamton area are welcome to still meet in-person at the Fleishman Center in UU-133.

Students can log in to hireBING and schedule an appointment based on topic and consultant availability. Simply select “Virtual,” “Phone” or “In-Person” as the appointment medium when making an appointment.

Walk-in Career Consulting

Offered 1-2:40 p.m. Tuesday-Thursday in UU-133A throughout winter.

For students staying in Binghamton this winter, 20-minute walk-in sessions are available for students who have quick questions, need feedback on resumes or cover letters, or if they want to get started on an internship or job search.

Students are also encouraged to utilize the Fleishman Center’s online resources, including the Focus 2 online career assessment, VMock resume feedback platform, and Big Interview practice interview software, all of which may be accessed for free through their hireBING by Handshake account under the Career Center tab.

Please note that Fleishman Center services will not be available from December 24- January 1 due to the holidays.
