Alumni Career Connections with Johanna Sanders ‘13

Johanna Sanders graduated from Binghamton University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and continued on to receive a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University School of Law in 2019. Since graduating, she has used her passion for political activism to establish a career in which she can help advance equality and justice! Johanna currently serves as the Director of Policy and Organizing at the Vaid Group, a social innovation and consulting firm focused on projects that advance equity, justice, and inclusion.
About Johanna: 
  • Has a background in LGBTQ advocacy, criminal justice reform, and anti-poverty work
  • Serves on the Board of Directors for Congregation Beit Simchat Torah
  • Was president of Dickinson Community 2010-11
