During a time like now, while we are in a pandemic, employers have seen the importance of changing their jobs and internships to remote. For the student, this is a time to try to get a remote job or internship. Here are some remote jobs and internships from various resources provided by the Fleishman Center’s CareerTools: 

1. Remote Fall Campaign Internship for John Mannion for State Senate

John Mannions campaign for NYS Senate District 50 is seeking interns to help meet a wide variety of campaign goals. The primary responsibility of interns will be to speak to prospective voters over the phone and convince them to vote for Mr. Mannion. Interns will also be responsible for executing tasks specific to their experience and personal preferences, including assisting with policy research, communications, digital design, social media, fundraising, and community outreach. All interns will work remotely for the duration of the Coronavirus crisis.

2. Passionate about environment and policy? Help protect wildlife in South America!

3. Legal Assistant at the Law Office of Mark Gordon

You will work under Mark Gordon’s supervision as an attorney and will also provide support in assigned legal cases, document preparation, docket management and calendaring, and appropriate on time billing to the various agencies and clients. The goal is to maintain efficiency of office procedures and case management so as to guarantee reliability and consistency.

4. Training AI on Contract Terms and Values at FullBloom

FullBloom’s business is contract intensive and the company is in the beginning stages of implementing a contract management workflow and repository technology to better manage its contracts. FullBloom is seeking a student intern to review contracts and through their understanding of certain contract terms, help to train the artificial intelligence engine on contract terms and values to be captured.

5. Government Affairs Intern at Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR)—Chicago

Our Government Affairs Division within the Outreach Department seeks to organize, mobilize, and empower the Muslim community throughout greater Chicagoland and the State of Illinois with long-term civic participation and awareness. Interns will work closely with the Outreach Coordinator on projects and/or daily tasks related to civic engagement and political empowerment for Muslim Americans, and practically all individuals who live in the United States.

In order to ensure that the each intern, extern, and fellow’s experience is maximized, each Government Affairs team member will be required to develop and train in the following core specialties: Community Organizing, Civic Engagement, Policy Research, Administrative Assistance
