USC Security and Political Economy Lab
The Security and Political Economy Lab at the University of Southern California welcomes applications from undergraduate students for an 8-week intensive summer research and training program from June 7-August 6, 2021. The program includes training in research methods and work as a research assistant on faculty-led projects related to the political economy of security. All participants will receive free housing on the USC campus, travel reimbursement, and a stipend. If the COVID-19 situation prevents in-person programming,  will conduct the program remotely. Call for Applicants: USA Pavilion Youth Ambassador Program
Global Ties US seeks US citizens ages 18-29 to serve as guides and cultural ambassadors at the US Pavilion and engage visitors on American culture at the World Expo 2020 in Dubai. A great way to get international experience! The Expo will run from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Gilman Scholarship Application Open
Gilman Scholarships helps students of limited financial means study or intern abroad, providing them with skills critical to our national security and economic prosperity. Students studying critical need languages may be eligible to receive an additional award of up to $3,000. This application cycle is for credit-bearing programs abroad or virtual international programs that have a start date from May 1, 2021-April 30, 2022. Specific scholarships are also available for child dependents of active duty service members, students who want to study in Israel, Wales or New Zealand, and students studying Arabic, Portuguese, or French. Charles B. Rangel Summer Enrichment Program
A six-week summer program designed to provide US undergraduates with a deeper appreciation of current issues and trends in international affairs, a greater understanding of career opportunities in international affairs, and the enhanced knowledge and skills to pursue such careers. This program strongly encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and those with financial need. Hispanic Scholars Fund
The HSF Scholarship is designed to assist students of Hispanic heritage obtain a university degree. Scholarships are available, on a competitive basis, to high school seniors, undergraduates (all years), community college students transferring to four year universities, and graduate students. Graduate School Funding in National Security and Counterrorism
The Legacy Award of Victims of Pan Am Flight 103, Inc was established to remember the 270 lives lost in the bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 on December 21, 1988. Awards are available to students pursuing advanced degrees at U.S. institutions in areas of study related to improved national security and terrorism prevention. Annual Virtual HBCU Foreign Policy Conference
The 2021 Virtual HBCU Foreign Policy 2-Day Conference will be held on February 25-26, 2021.
