Politico is looking for enterprising and creative journalists who want to report, write and research for an audience of political and policy junkies.
Who: College students (at least rising juniors) and recent graduates.
What: POLITICO HQ interns work on our magazine, breaking news desk, or policy reporting teams. State Bureau interns focus on local- and state-level coverage and elections.
When: Spring and/or Summer 2023. Internships will be part- or full-time as stated in the job description.
Where: Politico HQ and State Bureaus.
Why: Politico offers internship programming such as lunch & learn events with senior leaders in the newsroom, as well as mentorship from members of the newsroom. They encourage interns to write about their passions and connect with other newsroom employees that work in those areas. As a POLITICO intern, you have the opportunity to publish your work on our website, and hone your journalistic skills.
