Public Health AmeriCorps (Full/Part-time)
Food Systems Member (25-30 hours/week)
The position of the Public Health AmeriCorps Food Systems Member will work closely with staff of Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County’s Regional Farmer’s Market, Taste NY, Community Nutrition, and Ag Development team to address public health and food related issues such as food insecurity, nutrition education, product development, farmer support, and other community needs.
Applicants must have a valid Driver’s License, a personal vehicle, and a full COVID vaccination.
Population Health Coordinator at Lourdes Pharmacy (30-35 hours/week) Population Health Coordinator will help coordinate efforts to help patients access Telehealth services at Lourdes Pharmacy Binghamton. AmeriCorps workers will also assist Pharmacists, Financial Counselors, and other Lourdes Population Health advocates to document and track outcomes of work performed at Lourdes Pharmacy. Work that they will be involved in will include: Prior Authorization requests for medications, adherence calls to patients, identifying and assisting patients in various care gaps.
A background in data analytics or experience with Google Sheets is preferred. We are looking for a kind, compassionate, and independent thinker who will look at our challenges and workload with a new perspective. Patient outreach is a primary function of this role, so empathy and a collaborative, humble nature are a must.
