Resources For Students with Disabilities Navigating the Workplace

1. Job Accommodation Network

Sponsored by the U.S. Dept of Labor, it has a wealth of resources for people with disabilities who need accommodations in the workplace, including tips on disclosure, determining accommodations and more.  It also lists resources for employees who feel their rights have been violated.

2. Office of Civil Rights 

Manages Equal Employment Opportunity program and resources for employees who feel they have been discriminated against.

3. Our Ability Jobs

Jobs Ability is an exclusive online job platform created by and for people who have a disability. An employer posting their jobs in Jobs Ability is demonstrating an intentional commitment to intentional disability-inclusive hiring.

4. ACCES-VR

ACCES-VR assists individuals with disabilities to achieve and maintain employment and to support independent living through training, education, rehabilitation, and career development.

5. Disability Etiquette: 

Resource for employers/interviewers and etiquette regarding specific disabilities.
