An internship isn’t just about gaining experience – it’s the first real step towards your future career. Getting an internship can be tough, but with the right approach, you can secure an opportunity that aligns well with your career goals. To help you navigate this journey, I’ve created the RIGHT framework that highlights key strategies to enhance your internship search!
R: Research
Take time to explore, and understand the industries that align with your career goals and consider career clusters, which group similar paths to help you easily navigate various options. Look beyond job descriptions; deep dive into company culture, values, and ongoing projects by building connections using LinkedIn. LinkedIn is an excellent tool for researching companies, staying informed about their latest updates, and networking with the right people. You can also utilize job search platforms like hireBING, Indeed.com, Idealist.org to find the right opportunities.
I: Initiate Connections
The key to accelerating your job search is Networking and building connections!
