Interested in gaining academic credit for doing an internship? Join the next cohort of students participating in the CDCI 395 Internship Program! This program, hosted by the Fleishman Career Center, allows students to earn up to eight upper level credits while completing an internship that they secure themselves. In conjunction with this internship experience, participants complete coursework focused on developing professional skills, setting them up to flourish in their future work.
Past students found that the CDCI program encouraged them to reflect on their professional growth. By actively evaluating their performance, these students were able to set goals which stimulate future success. Diya Prasad ‘25, an intern with State Senator Lea Webb’s campaign last fall, commented that “this integration of practical experience and academic learning prepared me to navigate future roles with greater confidence and purpose.”
CDCI 395 focuses on increasing proficiency in NACE competencies, which are used to measure a student’s career-readiness. Many students found lessons on communication, leadership and other areas enhanced their internship experience. Ella Stafford ‘25, a Social Media Intern with Logowise last fall, found that the course “emphasized the importance of adaptability and proactive problem solving, two skills that have been crucial in my work at Logowise.”
