Students are introduced to the concept of “workplace culture” and the characteristics of a healthy workplace. Students then learn how to analyze a company of interest using various resources on the web to help them inform their job search process.
Every Fleishman Career Center assignment/activity can be used in the classroom, as homework, or during a program/event. These assignments and activities can be fully customized to fit your needs.
Learning Objectives
- Students will gain an awareness of what characterizes a healthy workplace culture.
- Students will reflect on the characteristics they’d like to see in their future workplace.
- Students will learn how to critically evaluate a company’s workplace culture by analyzing information on the web, focusing on employee well-being, organizational values, diversity, equity, inclusion (DEI) and other topics important to each individual.
