Job Title: Assistant Process Engineer (Mandarin Required)

Reports to: Process Engineer Manager
Job Description: The Assistant Process Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes in a cell production facility. This role involves analyzing production data, identifying areas for improvement, and ensuring that processes are efficient, cost-effective, and comply with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Process Optimization:
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance production efficiency and product quality.
- Analyze production data and identify trends or issues impacting process performance.
- Conduct experiments and trials to evaluate new process methods or equipment.
- Ensure daily process is operating at optimum level.
- Ensure meeting daily process KPI.
- Process Design and Implementation:
- Design and develop manufacturing processes for new products or modifications to existing products.
- Collaborate with R&D and design teams to integrate new technologies into the manufacturing process.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
- Quality Control:
- Ensure manufacturing processes meet all quality standards and specifications.
- Monitor product quality through regular inspections and testing.
- Develop and implement corrective actions for process deviations.
- Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety regulations and promote a safe working environment.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement necessary safety measures.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Lead initiatives to improve manufacturing processes, reduce waste, and enhance productivity.
- Use lean manufacturing principles and other methodologies to drive continuous improvement.
- Train and mentor staff on new processes and technologies.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate documentation of processes, changes, and quality metrics.
- Prepare and present reports on process performance and improvement initiatives.
- Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) or equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in process engineering, preferably in a cell manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and quality control practices.
- Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and compliance standards.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
- Mandarin Required
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of advanced manufacturing technologies such as automation and robotics.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is a plus.
- Ability to adapt to changing technologies and industry trends.
- Willingness to continuously learn and update skills.
Working Conditions:
- May require occasional travel to other facilities or vendor locations.
- Standard office environment with occasional exposure to manufacturing environments.
- May require extended hours or flexibility depending on working needs.
