Faucetworks is developing the Virtual Neurologist, a medical device that is capability of diagnosing neurological emergencies such as stroke in the ambulance and emergency department by directly speaking with, and visualizing the examination of, the patient.
Our Virtual Neurologist is a cloud-based, semi-autonomous medical device endowed with natural language and computer vision capabilities that can diagnose neurological emergencies such as stroke, traumatic brain injury., and seizures We have an alpha prototype version of the Faucet prepared and are growing its capabilities to match those of the human neurologist.
Interns must have experience with computer vision and/or computational algorithms. Specific experience with the detection of facial landmarks and limb position is highly desired.
Compensation includes cash and/or company equity commensurate with educational experience / education level. The position may be full- or part-time depending on the intern’s availability. Faucetworks aims to hire interns into the company upon their graduation. Our headquarters are in the Bay Area of California, but there isn’t a requirement to relocate to Silicon Valley.
