iFyber is seeking a research technician to assist with R&D projects at the interface between chemistry, biology, and material science. iFyber serves clients in the regenerative medicine, medical device, diagnostics, and antimicrobial industries. The person in this position will support a variety of programs that will require experience and/or the ability to pick up bench skills related to microbiology and chemistry.

Duties and Responsibilities

· Conduct experimental tasks both independently

· Follow established protocols and work with senior staff to adapt or design new protocols

· Document information in laboratory notebooks and MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

· Report results via verbal, written, and graphical communication

· Document and troubleshoot experimental methods failures and instrument malfunctions

· Perform additional duties as assigned and be willing to work overtime and weekends as necessary

Skills and Experience

· At minimum, a BS degree in the biological sciences and 1 year’s research experience outside coursework (academic or industrial)

· Hands on bench experience required

· Ability to follow aseptic techniques

Requirements

· Good written and oral communication

· Meticulous attention to detail

· Solid grasp of scientific method

· Display initiative and ownership of duties

· Ability to handle multiple tasks in daily, weekly, monthly occurrence

· Ability to work independently on standard protocols

· Ability to contribute in a team setting
