The Business Development Intern is responsible for establishing and executing Kulture Hub’s growth strategy. Through sponsorships, fundraising, business development activities, and community engagement, the Development Manager will create and manage a portfolio of community, corporate, and individual partners.

The ideal candidate is committed to supporting young creatives and the creative community, is experienced working with diverse teams, and is willing to learn what it takes to build strategic relationships and effectively network.

Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Create and implement development plan, including a roadmaps to achieving outreach goals
  • Support the development of compelling stories that resonate with different creative communities
  • Assist in the business development cycle, including identifying prospective partners, building a diverse pipeline and securing funds
  • Assist in managing Kulture Hub partners, including contract negotiation, due diligence and reporting
  • Help oversee potential creative programs, including the planning and coordination of donor events and fundraisers
  • Build and maintain relationships with corporate sponsors, major donors and community leaders
  • Be a passionate advocate of Kulture Hub, and work to connect the community and partners with the mission and vision of our organization
  • Represent Kulture Hub at events as an organizational ambassador (COVID PENDING)

Stewardship & Management

  • Help oversee the Kulture Hub partner experience, including onboarding, communications and reporting
  • Maintain consistent communication with assigned partners to ensure timely acknowledgements and updates through email, newsletters, meetings and annual reports
  • Help create and execute partner recognition and thank you programs
  • Serve as point-person for day-to-day questions and inquiries and from donors

Operations & Project Management

  • Help implement a CRM database to manage the partner/community pipeline
  • Establish a performance management system to track progress towards fundraising goals
  • Help create and maintain development budget
  • Help implement project management tools to support day-to-day development operations

Qualifications

  • Education: Preferred BA
  • Technologies: Proficient in CRM / Salesforce and Google Suite
  • Competencies: business development, grassroots campaigns, community relations, communications, project management, event planning, storytelling
