The Museum has a highly complex IT environment and is seeking an intern who is passionate about our mission. IT interns will assist with various day-to-day operations as well as projects within the Museum. Job responsibilities of a Perot Museum IT intern include: providing computer technical support for end users, installing, upgrading, and configuring software, re-imaging computers with the proper OS and drivers, responding to computer issues daily via the ticketing systems, and assisting with maintain computer inventory. IT interns will gain hands-on experience in a Museum setting working directly with staff under management of the chief operating officer.
Interns should display proficiency in the following skills: Computer hardware experience (Memory, HDD, CPU, computer peripherals), ability to install and configure software, basic understanding of operating systems (Windows 7 and 10 and Mac OS). A minimum of 60 hours is required to complete this internship.
