Marketing/PR interns work directly alongside Museum marketing and public relations staff. Tasks could include: organizing spreadsheets, tracking internet mentions, helping with media and donor gifts, archiving photos, writing drafts for social media and event summaries, or proofreading web and print content. The intern will gain hands-on experience working with on a Marketing/PR team within a non-profit business setting.
Ideal candidates must be self-motivated and possess some of the following skills: writing experience (AP style), editing experience, web/HTML knowledge, experience working in a CMS, ability to work with comparative analysis in Excel, familiarity with market research, organization and project management experience, and experience in PowerPoint. A minimum of 60 hours is required to complete this internship.
