Camp Timber-lee, a religious non-profit organization, offers a unique internship opportunity that provide hands-on experience designed specifically to equip participants with ministry, communication, and teaching opportunities that are invaluable to a career in camping, outdoor recreation, the education field, and many others.
Timber Challenge Interns will spend 30-40 hours per week gaining practical hands-on experience guided by established leaders in the outdoor adventure industry. This experience includes our 900’ zip lines; 23-element two-level high ropes course; 40’ climbing tower; and a variety of outdoor recreational offerings including archery, canoeing, and cross country skiing.
Timber-lee is home to one of the largest residential Outdoor Education and youth retreat programs in the Midwest. The TC interns have the advantage of working closely with many different aspects of these programs, thus gaining knowledge by hands-on experience, as well as learning directly from numerous seasoned professional staff.
Through field experiences working with school groups and youth retreats, and a camping community, Timber-lee will provide the right environment needed to take ministry minded individuals to the next level of both personal and professional growth.
