The Binghamton Poetry Club seeks to enrich the campus of Binghamton University by making poetry more accessible through the art of spoken word, poetry of all forms, and other kinds of creative writing. We actively work to help students grow as writers and performers and to foster self-expression, confidence, and community among them.
The group will hold weekly meetings with the purpose of providing a safe space for writers to write, share their work, and get feedback from their peers as to how they can hone their craft. The club will also hold events that give people a chance to create and perform their work in a friendly environment.
