Professional Associations

The LAGRANT Foundation is a nonprofit organization that works to increase representation in the advertising, marketing, and public relations fields. The Foundation supports undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral students from historically underrepresented communities through scholarships, internships, fellowships, co-ops, entry-level opportunities, mentorship, and career development programming. Scholarship recipients also participate in professional development activities and connect with industry professionals who can provide guidance and career exposure.

Who should use this resource:
Students interested in advertising, marketing, public relations, communications, media, branding, or related career paths. This resource is especially valuable for students from historically underrepresented backgrounds who are seeking scholarships, mentorship, professional development, and connections to employers and professionals in these industries.

Why it’s helpful:
The LAGRANT Foundation combines financial support with career preparation and industry access. Students may be able to apply for undergraduate or graduate scholarships, participate in multi-day career development programming, connect with professional mentors, and learn about internships, fellowships, co-ops, and entry-level roles. These opportunities can help students strengthen their professional network, gain insight into communications careers, and build the skills and confidence needed to pursue competitive opportunities in advertising, marketing, and public relations.
