InfoEd SPIN

The Binghamton University community has access to InfoEd’s SPIN search engine through the Division of Research. The SPIN electronic database streamlines the process of finding funding, preparing proposals, managing awards, and ensuring compliance, often replacing paper-based or manual processes.

Who should use this resource:

Graduate students who are looking for funding or fellowship opportunities for research projects across higher education institutions in the United States and abroad can use this resource.

Why it’s helpful:

It is used by universities, research institutions, and hospitals to manage the entire lifecycle of sponsored research projects. Thus, it is a great search tool for graduate students to find research and funding opportunities across various research institutions. Users can search for funding program announcements via three types of searches: Basic, Keyword, or Advanced, all of which are available using your BU Single Sign-On (SSO) credentials.

How to access:

To Access SPIN, on the right side of the screen, under “Sign in using institutional credentials,” select Binghamton University from the drop-down menu and enter your SSO user name and password. For more details on how to use this database check out the SPIN Quick Start Guide
