InRoads

INROADS is a nonprofit organization that creates pathways to internships and careers for high school and college students through career readiness training, leadership development, mentorship, and professional experiences. Its flagship INROADS Internship Program prepares undergraduate students for competitive paid internships with leading employers while providing ongoing coaching, networking opportunities, and career support. Students also benefit from professional skills workshops, personalized guidance from program managers, and access to a nationwide alumni network.

Who should use this resource:
College students interested in building professional skills and pursuing competitive internships with leading employers in business, finance, technology, engineering, healthcare, marketing, and other corporate fields. This resource is especially valuable for students seeking structured career preparation, mentorship, leadership development, and opportunities to gain paid professional experience.

Why it’s helpful:
INROADS provides much more than internship opportunities. Students receive career readiness training, leadership development, resume and interview coaching, personalized support from program managers, and opportunities to network with executives, employers, and fellow participants. Many students participate in multi-year paid internships that help them build experience over several summers, and successful interns often receive full-time job offers after graduation. Even beyond the internship experience, participants join a nationwide alumni network that provides ongoing mentoring, networking, and professional development throughout their careers.
