OPT For Humanity

At OPT for Humanity, we connect graduating international students with local charities or social impact organizations willing to freely sponsor students’ Optional Practical Training (OPT) programs in roles related to their majors.

Who should use this resource:

International students who haven’t yet found full-time employment opportunities in the United States but who will need to find employment prior to their 90 day grace period ends in order to stay in the United States.

Why is it important:

Students gain tangible, resume-building work experience in the United States without the immediate pressure of finding a company willing to sponsor an H-1B visa.
