Point Foundation BIPOC LGBTQ+ Scholarship Fund
The Point Foundation Access Scholarship is a national scholarship program that provides financial support, leadership development, and professional development opportunities to LGBTQ+ and ally students who face systemic barriers to higher education, including first-generation and/or low-income backgrounds. The scholarship is part of Point Foundation’s broader mission to increase access, representation, and success for LGBTQ+ students in college and beyond.
Who should use this resource:
LGBTQ+ and ally students who are seeking financial support for college and who identify as first-generation and/or from limited-income backgrounds. This resource is especially relevant for students looking for scholarships that also provide mentorship, leadership training, and a supportive community network in addition to funding.
Why it’s helpful:
In addition to financial assistance, the Access Scholarship connects students to a national community of LGBTQ+ scholars and professional development opportunities. It can help reduce financial barriers to college while also supporting students’ long-term academic, leadership, and career success.
