Vogt Family Summer Internship

Vogt Family Summer Internship

Established in 2021 by the Vogt Family, this fund supports students at Binghamton University who without funding, would not be able to participate in a summer internship opportunity.
Award amount: $5,000 will be awarded to 5 students annually.

Who is eligible?

Currently matriculated Binghamton University undergraduate or graduate students who have been offered a full-time, unpaid internship for summer 2023 may apply. Applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

    • Demonstrated financial need and current Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file at the office of Financial Aid and Student Records and/or a completed NYS State Aid Application
    • Must have an SSN (Social Security Number) or ITIN (Individual Tax Identification Number)

*Preference will be given to students in the Transformational Leaders Program and to those who may not otherwise be able to complete an unpaid internship due to financial constraints. Please note that this is a competitive application process and not all applicants will receive funding.

How the internship fund works

  1. Once you are awarded a scholarship, you must complete a form and a W-9 and send them to intefund@binghamton.edu
  2. We contact your supervisor the week you start your internship and they verify that you started.
  3. We then start to process your check and you should receive it in a couple weeks.
  4. Toward the end of your internship, we ask you to send us a thank you note for fund sponsors and a picture of you at your internship.

Students may apply for multiple internship funding opportunities. View additional funding opportunities here.
