Scholarship Opportunities- Deadlines Approaching

(1) Critical Language Scholarship Program: Deadline November 14th, 8PM EST

Funded by the U.S. Department of State, the CLS Program is an intensive overseas language and cultural immersion program for American students enrolled at U.S. colleges and universities. Students spend eight to ten weeks over the summer studying one of 13 critical languages (Arabic, Azerbaijani, Chinese, Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Portuguese, Russian, Swahili, Turkish, and Urdu). The program is designed to promote rapid language gains through intensive language instruction, host community engagement, and structured cultural activities in a cohort-based setting.

(2) Diverse International Women of Color Study Abroad Scholarship: Deadline November 20th, 2023

The Diverse International Women of Color Study Abroad Scholarship is intended to assist women of color who are exceptional in their studies and in need of financial assistance to study abroad. DIWC will award $500 scholarships to select women of color who have been accepted to an in-person Spring 2024 study abroad program.

(3) LGBTQ Student Scholarship: Deadline December 5th, 2023

The Point Flagship Scholarship supports LGBTQ students who are earning their degrees at accredited colleges in the US. Candidates must be enrolled or intending to enroll in an accredited college/university based in the US. They must be ‘out’ as a person who identifies as a member of the LGBTQ community.” Recipients receive financial support, access to leadership development programs, mentorship, and the support of a community of scholars and alumni. Financial awards are based on need and renewable for up to four years of support.
