Over 200 Arts and Communication Alumni That Want to Help You – Read this Blog to Learn How to Get Their Support

Successful networking is often cited as a key factor in securing job or internship opportunities. So why do many of us hesitate to engage in it? One common barrier is uncertainty about whether professionals will be receptive to our outreach. As a result, we often delay reaching out altogether.

Fortunately, we have a valuable resource at our disposal: a network of alumni who have actively joined Mentor Match with the intention of connecting with you! Within this network are over 200 alumni who have pursued careers in the arts and communication fields, eager to engage with you about your career development. Some notable careers represented on the platform include:

  • Medical Writer and Consultant at Whitsell Innovations, Inc.
  • Assistant Vice President, Integrated Marketing at L’Oréal
  • Video Producer at EmblemHealth
  • Technology Communications Coordinator at Dow Jones
  • EVP, Group Sales Director at Hachette Book Group
  • Executive Vice President of Social Responsibility at Harris Blitzer Sports and Entertainment
  • VP Programming and Content Strategy at Warner Bros Discovery
  • Actor at Amazon Prime
  • Writer and Producer at Popogate Content
  • Journalist at Medscape Medical News

To kickstart your networking efforts, here’s a template you can use to initiate connections (feel free to customize as needed):
