Who’s Hiring? 9 Organizations Offering Mental Health Services

Who’s Hiring? 9 Organizations Offering Mental Health Services was originally published on Idealist Careers.

Over recent years, there’s been incredible progress made toward ending the stigmas surrounding mental illness and increasing awareness about the importance of mental health. But even as more people acknowledge the need for increased health care and support, the United States continues to face a mental health crisis.

According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), over 30% of American adults report experiencing symptoms of anxiety and depression. Mental health is also a concern for young people, with 42% of high school students reporting that they struggle with persistent feelings of sadness or hopelessness.

You don’t have to be a healthcare professional to champion mental health in your community. Here are nine organizations that offer mental health services and are currently hiring on Idealist.
