The Evolutionary Studies Student Organization searches to to create a social and interactive environment for evolutionary studies at Binghamton. Working with the already well-established academic EvoS program, the EvoS student organization will take evolutionary studies at Binghamton out of the classroom and into student life.
To organize events and speakers geared toward undergraduate students focusing on Evolutionary Topics
To co-host events with other Student Organizations built around the overlap between Evolutionary study and the other group’s focus.
To plan off campus trips and attend off campus events that are relevant to evolutionary study, e.g. museums, conferences.
Create a medium for students who are interested in evolutionary study and its relation to their academic focus to connect, engage, and discuss.
Create opportunities for engaged students of evolution to conduct research or write academic papers, and find journals, conferences, and other events to which this type of research could be relevant.
