MajorNoir is the culmination of creativity, imagination, and joy that we hope to experience with our community. In efforts to expand spaces meant to serve as sanctuaries for Black folks on Binghamton University’s predominately white campus, members of BSU’s 53rd eboard and X’Factr came together to create this expression of art through dance. Mainly serving as a Black majorette dance team, Majornoir also seeks to highlight the varying forms of Black dances that encapsulate our diaspora.
To create a safe space on campus for black women to flourish and gain confidence through learning majorette dancing with their peers.
