Women in Business

Women in Business (BWiB) seeks to empower female students at Binghamton University across all majors and to instill the ambition and confidence to overcome challenges in their professional and personal lives through professional and personal development, leadership opportunities, networking opportunities, community involvement, and by ultimately providing a supportive network of members and alumni. Women in Business will serve as a collective voice for the female community in professional realm at Binghamton University. The executive board of Women in Business believe that we can change the lack of female leaders in the workplace by starting the conversation at Binghamton University.

Encourage female students to attain high levels of education and professional achievement
Inform students of current ethical issues in the business world and provide an open forum for discussions
Provide members with various professional development workshops to develop professionals and proper business etiquette
Inform students of various business fields, different internship or special program opportunities
Provide networking opportunities with recruiters
Establish strong relationships with peers, faculty, and alumni
Promote community service with local organizations and student clubs
