Tau Sigma Honor Society

Tau Sigma Honor Society is a national academic honor society that recognizes the academic achievement and involvement of transfer students. Binghamton University’s Alpha Omega Chapter provides eligible transfer students with opportunities for leadership, service, networking, and community engagement while connecting them with other high-achieving transfer students. Members are also eligible to apply for national Tau Sigma scholarships and participate in chapter activities that support transfer student success.

Who should use this resource:
Transfer students at Binghamton University who have completed their first semester with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher and are eligible for membership. This resource is especially valuable for transfer students interested in being recognized for their academic achievement while expanding their leadership experience and campus involvement.

Why it’s helpful:
Tau Sigma provides more than academic recognition. Members can build connections with other transfer students, develop leadership skills through chapter involvement, participate in service opportunities, and apply for national scholarships available exclusively to Tau Sigma members. Joining the organization can help students strengthen their campus engagement, expand their professional network, and enhance their academic and career development through meaningful involvement.
