Pathways to Science
PathwaysToScience.org is a STEM-focused opportunity database created by the Institute for Broadening Participation. The site features searchable listings for internships, research experiences, fellowships, scholarships, summer programs, post-baccalaureate opportunities, and graduate programs across a wide range of STEM fields. Students can search opportunities by discipline, academic level, location, funding type, and identity-based support programs.
Who should use this resource:
Students and recent graduates interested in science, technology, engineering, mathematics, healthcare, environmental science, research, or graduate education. This resource is especially helpful for students seeking undergraduate research experiences, REUs, funded summer programs, internships, or opportunities designed to support students from historically underrepresented backgrounds in STEM fields.
Why it’s helpful:
PathwaysToScience.org brings together a large collection of STEM-specific opportunities that can be difficult to locate through general job boards. The site can help students discover funded research and experiential learning opportunities, identify programs aligned with their interests and goals, and better understand pathways into STEM careers and graduate education. It is also useful for exploring organizations, universities, and agencies actively investing in STEM student development.
