Employers Embracing Employees with Disabilities

Employers Embracing Employees with Disabilities (EEED) is a specialized advocacy, networking, and workforce development platform dedicated to promoting the social and economic benefits of disability-inclusive hiring. Rather than operating as a traditional job board, the initiative functions as a collaborative bridge between corporate leaders, human resource professionals, and community-based vocational organizations. It focuses on dismantling workplace misconceptions, highlighting the business value of hiring individuals with disabilities, and showcasing best practices for accessible recruitment and talent retention.

Who should use this resource: Students, recent graduates, and alumni with visible or non-visible disabilities who want to research and connect with explicitly disability-friendly employers. It is also an excellent resource for corporate-minded students, future HR professionals, and allies who are interested in learning how to establish Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) and cultivate equitable workplace cultures.

Why it’s helpful: Finding employers who genuinely embrace diverse abilities—rather than just checking a compliance box—can be a challenge. This platform consolidates real-world case studies, employer toolkits, and data-driven insights (such as tax incentive guides and workplace accommodation strategies) that show companies how disability inclusion boosts productivity and retention. By interacting with the network, job seekers gain a clearer roadmap of what an inclusive workplace looks like, while learning how to align themselves with organizations that actively celebrate diverse perspectives.
